2024 Lenten Project

This year we will be supporting the work of the Primates World Relief & Development Fund (PWRDF) and their ongoing work in Gaza and the West Bank.

With its partners, PWRDF are looking to provide long term support in the area by proposing a new six-month project (from February 1, 2024 to July 31, 2024). This project was created in consultation with a partnership of Anglican humanitarian and developmental agencies.

The main goals of this project are to provide support with education, in-patient and out patient health services at the Diocese of Jerusalem Health Institutes in the West Bank, and medical interventions for the wounded at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.

The Diocese of Jerusalem Institutes that will benefit from this project include:
  • Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, Gaza

  • Saint Luke's Hospital, Nablus

  • Penmen Clinic, Jenin (Zababdeh village)

  • Christian National Kindergarden, Nablus

  • Saint George's school, East Jerusalem

This joint initiative will directly support 2,608 people, and indirectly benefit 14, 512 people. If you would like to read about the project in more detail, visit PWRDF here.

If you would like to support this years Lenten project, St. Thomas will be hosting several events to raise money for our Lenten project. If making a contribution, please do so on or before Palm Sunday and designate your contribution "Lenten project" on your envelope.
